Lia and Chris will always hold a special place in our hearts… they were our first wedding after the pandemic, and boy were they ready to party!
Lia and Chris met at 121 Restaurant in North Salem on a random night out. They spotted each other from across the bar, and the rest is history! The couple felt it was only right to hold their intimate wedding celebration where they first met.
They got married on a snowy Saturday in February, and it set the perfect scene for photos. The bridesmaids wore burnt orange velvet dresses, while the bride donned a white off-the-shoulder dress with fur accents. They got married at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster NY. The church is breathtaking on it’s own and didn’t need much floral, so altar arrangements were the perfect option!
After the ceremony, the bridal party and family took photos at a nearby field. The snowy backdrop was perfect for portraits – and the girls came prepared with boots so they could take full advantage of the beautiful backdrop (we love a prepared bridal party!).
The couple opted to rent fam tables and chairs to get the feel of the warm intimate celebration they were going for. The venue provided assorted plats, we added burnt orange napkins, garland, wine bottles, and wine cork place cards to create a rustic, yet elegant table scape. They served a family-style feast, which was the perfect menu for a cold February evening.
Their dessert table was the main attraction! Brian William Events provided an amazing balloon arch, while Just Baked Sweets provided the desserts. No stone was left unturned – white chocolate dipped rice krispie treats, chocolate covered twinkies, chocolate covered pretzels, white chocolate drizzled marshmallows, and beautiful personalized sugar cookies. The couple also choose personalized hand-poured candles as their favors. Our favorite part you ask? The polaroid guest book! Everyone had such a great time taking photos of each other all night long.
If you’re looking for winter wedding inspo – look no further! The warm color palette, different textures, candles, and light dusting of snow made for the perfect winter celebration!
